Estate Ravesteyn

Heenvliet is an old town on the island of Voorne-Putten. The market with its beautiful facades and the toll gate, are the first protected historical cityscape of Netherlands. Behind the gate of the stately house of the family Lamaison van den Berg is 6 hectares of land with in the center the ruin Ravesteyn. In this well preserved lock are still quite a few features of the medieval architecture. The ruin is surrounded by a moat. When you wander through these beautifully landscaped gardens you feel like being in another world, where nature and history the atmosphere dominate. The estate can only be visited on appointment, but as a guest in our apartment you can enjoy all the tranquility and privacy. Around Ascension Day and Pentecost, the garden is open to the public and forms the backdrop of a sculpture exhibition. During the Whitsun weekend is also the traditional annual horse market. More information about the sculpture garden can be found here.
